KEYNOTE SPEAKERS
1. Prof. Marco Abbiati, PhD - Scientific Counsellor, Embassy of Italy in Hanoi, Vietnam
Associate Professor at the University of Bologna in 1998, Full Professor since 2002.
Prof. Marco Abbiati has carried out teaching and research activities on the Ravenna Campus, founded the Experimental Ecology Laboratory and Interdepartmental Research Center for Environmental Sciences.
With colleagues’ ecologists, within a network of international collaborations, Professor has worked in the fields of basic and applied marine ecology, environmental management, and conservation. Professor has coordinated research projects funded by the EU, Ministries, and private companies in order to advance knowledge of marine ecosystems, their functioning and protection from the impacts of anthropogenic activities.
Professor Marco Abbiati is currently on Science Attaché at the Italian Embassy in Hanoi, Vietnam.
2. Prof. Dr. Quoc Tuan Tran, Université Paris Saclay, France
Prof. Quoc Tuan TRAN received his Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from the Grenoble Institute of Technology (Grenoble INP), France, in 1993, followed by his "Habilitation à Diriger des Recherches" degree (Dr. Habil.) from the same institution in 2000. He currently serves as Professor at the INSTN (National Institute for Nuclear Science and Technology/Paris-Saclay University), where he also holds the positions of Director of Research, Fellow Scientist, and International Expert at the CEA (French Alternative Energies and Atomic Energy Commission). In addition to his roles at INSTN and CEA, Prof. TUAN teaches at multiple prestigious French institutions, including the Grenoble Institute of Technology, the Grenoble Alpes University (UGA), and ENSTA and ENPC ParisTech (Institut Polytechnique de Paris).
His research interests span a comprehensive range of advanced energy and power systems, encompassing smart grid and microgrid technologies, power system analysis, operations and protection, electromagnetic transients, and real-time co-simulation. Prof. TUAN's expertise extends to renewable energy systems (solar energy and wind energy), electric vehicle technology, energy storage solutions, smart building systems, medium and high-voltage direct current (MV/HVDC) applications, artificial intelligence in energy systems, as well as energy management and control strategies.
